Send To PC not working

There are 3 methods which could solve this issue : 

 

Method

1

Enable Firewall access

Most of these issues have something to do with the desktop app. So Try the below instructions to enable firewall access for the app

The instructions for the Microsoft Store App (downloaded from Microsoft store ) and Desktop app (downloaded from the website) are different. So choose 

For the Desktop App

Once you've installed the Desktop app, go to Start and search for "firewall" and select Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security

Then select Inbound Rules in the left pane and wait until the list loads. Look for "Xdrop- Fastest File Transfer". Right click and select Properties. Can't find it?

Then in the General Tab. Make sure that you've selected "Allow the connection. 
In the Advanced Tab make sure That you've selected all 3 'domain' 'private' and 'public' . 

And then Click on OK. and Restart your PC and try sending the files again. 

[NOTE: MAKE SURE YOU RESTART YOUR PC TO SEE CHANGES]

Can't find "Xdrop Fastest File Transfer" in inbound rules?

In such a case you can just create a rule. 

From the pop-up window, select the following options. 

Click Next

Click Browse and select the application (Xdrop.exe)

Make sure you select "Allow the connection"

Tick all 3 options

Type The name as Xdrop - Fastest File Transfer

And then Click on Finish. and Restart your PC and try sending the files again.

For the Microsoft Store App

Once you've installed the Desktop app, go to Start and search for "firewall" and select Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security

Then select Outbound Rules in the left pane and wait until the list loads. Look for "Xdrop- Fastest File Transfer". Right click and select Properties.

Method

2

Manual Network Selection

In your Desktop App, Go to Settings and Switch Network selection to Manual mode. 

Now you can select over which Network you want the app to connect. (This is especially useful if you're using LAN and WiFi)

Enable Personal hotspot

Sometimes it may not work with your existing WiFi network. Try hosting a personal hotspot from your phone and connect to that network in your PC
